Somerset Place State Historic Site (grounds only)

Checked on Nov 2, 2026

Provisional guide: this guide covers the grounds only. The Visitor Center, the only official entrance, has 3 steps with no alternative while the Collins House is closed, and several buildings and paths have barriers. Only the official page describes access, and visitor reviews didn't contradict it. We'll update this guide as we confirm more.

This guide covers Somerset Place's grounds only. At Somerset Place in Creswell, North Carolina, "visitors will encounter changes in grade; uneven pathways; stairs; drainage ditches; wooden footbridges; swollen doors; and grass, gravel, dirt, oyster shell, or brick paths" (Somerset Place accessibility page (opens in new tab), [Official], checked Nov 2, 2026).

Call to confirm before you go: call Somerset Place at 252-379-6020 (Somerset Place accessibility page (opens in new tab), [Official], checked Nov 2, 2026). Tour times can change.
