Heads-up: closures. "Louisiana Circle is closed to vehicles and pedestrians due to slope instability." The Illinois Memorial has been "closed for restoration starting on September 16, 2025. Starting on March 2, 2026, access to Tour Stops 2 and 3 will be temporarily closed" (NPS park alerts (opens in new tab), [Official], posted as of Nov 2, 2026).
Heads-up: U.S.S. Cairo deck. The Cairo museum lists "Wheelchair Accessible," "Restroom - Accessible" and "Automated Entrance," and says visitors can "step foot onto" the ironclad (NPS: USS Cairo (opens in new tab), [Official], last updated Mar 2, 2025). Whether a wheelchair can get onto the gunboat deck isn't stated.
