- The Cypress Boardwalk: "Don't forget to check out the Cypress Boardwalk behind the center" (Tennessee State Parks: Reelfoot Lake (opens in new tab), [Official]). The park's hiking page lists the 0.45-mile Boardwalk as "Wheelchair Friendly" with "Surface Natural" (Reelfoot Lake hiking (opens in new tab), [Official], checked Oct 16, 2026), and the state's wheelchair-friendly trails list includes it: "Visitor Center Boardwalk: Located behind the park Visitor Center is a 0.45-mile boardwalk trail that follows the edge of the lake" (Tennessee State Parks wheelchair-friendly trails (opens in new tab), [Official], checked Oct 16, 2026). Wooden boardwalks can be slippery when wet, especially under trees; this affects people walking (including with canes or walkers) more than people in wheelchairs or scooters.

| Staff & Info | Why: A free loaner is offered, but the park's accessibility page gives no park phone or access contact. The only number on it is the statewide "Reservations & Information" line, 1-888-867-2757, which the page's ADA sentence gives for reserving "an ADA-accessible accommodation" when staying overnight (Reelfoot Lake accessibility (opens in new tab), [Official], checked Oct 16, 2026). So this scores 3 (loaner minimum). Free loaner: "The chairs are free to the public" (all-terrain wheelchair, advance registration). Not personally verified. |
Paths, Restrooms and Parking score 5: the park states accessible parking, restrooms and paved trails. Staff & Info is 3 for the free all-terrain wheelchair. Entry isn't rated. Overall is 4.5.
Ratings tagged "not personally verified" rest on information the venue published or on trusted firsthand reports; we have not personally verified them.
