An Accessible Washington, DC Trip
Checked on Oct 22, 2026 (facts carry the date each source was last checked, Oct 17, 2026)
Call to confirm before you go. Museums change hours, entrances and gallery closures, and several need free timed passes. Every stop on this plan has at least one part of the visit we couldn't confirm, such as an entrance, restrooms or parking. Call or email each place before you go, and tell them what you need.
This plan covers the National Mall and Capitol Hill through the places where we have the clearest accessibility information so far. It isn't a list of everything in Washington. Some well-known places are left off because they don't publish enough about access for us to say anything useful yet.
A note on our ratings: each stop shows its Overall rating out of 5. A note in brackets, such as "entry not yet confirmed," names the categories we couldn't verify yet.
