Accessibility and ratings
Heads-up: the house has steps. "The guided house tour requires walking up the steps into the house and due to the historic nature of the house, it is unfortunately not accessible for wheelchairs or scooters" (Magnolia Plantation FAQ (opens in new tab), [Official]).
Heads-up: uneven paths. "some paths may be rocky or bumpy and hard for wheelchairs/scooters to navigate", and "many of our garden paths are uneven, as they are made of dirt and gravel" (same page). Packed gravel is usually manageable with power chairs and scooters; loose or deep gravel, with wheeled walkers or manual chairs, can be difficult to impassable.
Heads-up: the "From Slavery to Freedom" Tour. It isn't on the FAQ's list of accessible tours ("The self-guided Garden Tour, Gift Shop, Wildlife Center, Peacock Café, and Nature Train guided tours are accessible"), and access to the historic cabins isn't stated (Magnolia Plantation FAQ (opens in new tab), [Official], checked Nov 2, 2026). Call to confirm.
