Plan your visit
- Hours: February through October, daily 9 AM to 5 PM CT, last ticket 4:30 PM (Park information (opens in new tab), checked Oct 15, 2026). The ticketed area is at 1450 Noccalula Rd and the campground is at 1890 Noccalula Rd (Noccalula Falls Park directions (opens in new tab), checked Oct 14, 2026).
- Fees: park admission is $10 for adults, $8 for children 4–12, $8 for seniors 55+, and free for children 3 and under. Prices may vary for special events. The regular season runs Feb 16–Oct 31, 2026 (Noccalula Falls Park information (opens in new tab), [Official], checked Oct 16, 2026).
- Where the falls are: the FAQ gives the park address as 1500 Noccalula Rd, and says the waterfall is "near the large parking lot near our Chapel" (FAQ (opens in new tab), checked Oct 15, 2026).
Heads-up: water flow varies. A visitor in October 2026 wrote, "Lack of rain made it more of a 'trickle'" (TripAdvisor review, posted Oct 2, 2026 (opens in new tab), [Secondary], checked Oct 16, 2026).
Worth your time
- The falls and the little train: the park describes the falls dropping "over 90 feet into the Black Creek ravine," a paved trail system and a Huntington miniature train (Noccalula Falls Park (opens in new tab), [Official], checked Oct 16, 2026). The park says one of its two trains "is specially set up" for riders with mobility needs (park blog, Oct 30, 2022 (opens in new tab), [Official], checked Oct 16, 2026). A ramp, power-chair use and tie-downs aren't described, so train boarding is not verified.
- Christmas at the Falls: "Open Nov. 13, 2026–Jan. 2, 2027; closed Nov. 16–19 & Dec. 24–25." Choose "a one-hour arrival time from 4–8 PM"; the park closes at 10 PM. General admission includes "Park admission + one standard train ride," and tickets are sold online only (Christmas at the Falls tickets (opens in new tab), [Official], checked Oct 16, 2026). One holiday visitor wrote, "the lights were beautiful as always, the train was as much fun as it ever is" (TripAdvisor review, Dec 2025 (opens in new tab), [Secondary]). Train boarding for wheelchair users is not verified.
- Spring lights: A visitor at the first Spring Lantern Festival in March 2026 enjoyed the lantern-lined trail and called the event "worth experiencing firsthand." The same visitor couldn't get a ride-share back, and the local taxi service stopped running at 8:00 p.m., so plan your own transport (TripAdvisor review, Mar 15, 2026 (opens in new tab), [Secondary], checked Oct 16, 2026). 2027 festival dates aren't confirmed.

Paths scores 5: the short paved path and "accessible bridge" to the falls viewpoint are built structures that Visit North Alabama, a trusted source, describes as accessible, with no barrier reported; the park's own site confirms paved walking trails from the Admissions Pavilion. Entry scores 5: you arrive from an accessible space on that paved path. Parking scores 5: accessible spaces are confirmed; van spaces aren't described, and missing details don't lower a score. Restrooms aren't described, so Restrooms are Not verified. Check this (secondary source): the Gorge Trail beyond the viewpoint is steep and turns to dirt; it isn't part of this route. Staff & Info: the park says it doesn't rent wheelchairs, and we have no other staff or equipment information. Overall is 5 of 5, the average of the 3 rated categories.
Ratings tagged "not personally verified" rest on information the venue published or on trusted firsthand reports; we have not personally verified them.
