What other sources report
- Check before visiting (checked Oct 15, 2026): elevator outage, summer 2023 to March 2025. The elevator near Door 13 is the step-free way to the upper floors. This was a temporary outage and doesn't lower a score. It was out of service from summer 2023 until a new one opened in March 2025 (Elevator World, from News 19, Sept 5, 2023 (opens in new tab) on the 2023 outage; WHNT, Feb 19, 2024 (opens in new tab) and al.com, Feb 23, 2024 (opens in new tab) on the replacement contract; HERE Huntsville, Mar 15, 2025 (opens in new tab) on the March 2025 reopening, [Secondary], checked Oct 15, 2026). The elevator is new as of 2025, but confirm it's running before you go. Lowe Mill's visit page doesn't list a phone number, so contact it through its website (opens in new tab) to confirm the elevator is running.
- Check this (TripAdvisor review, Oct 3, 2016): a visitor wrote that many entrances were locked or led to stairs, that they knew of only one old freight elevator, and that the one wheelchair entrance was often locked during evening events. The old freight elevator it describes was replaced by a new one in March 2025 (HERE Huntsville, Mar 15, 2025 (opens in new tab), [Secondary]). It's a single, older report, so it doesn't change a score (TripAdvisor (opens in new tab), [Secondary], checked Oct 16, 2026).
- Check this (TripAdvisor review, Oct 30, 2023): "Unfortunately, no elevators were running when we were there." That was during the 2023–2025 outage noted above, a temporary issue (TripAdvisor (opens in new tab), [Secondary], checked Oct 16, 2026).

Restrooms and Parking are Not verified because Lowe Mill doesn't publish them. Staff & Info is Not verified. Overall reads Not enough info yet: we show it only when at least 3 categories, including at least 2 of Entry, Paths and Restrooms, are rated.
